a weekend retreat

with Heidi Kalyani

“When I am silent, I fall into that place where everything is music.”

Experience the nourishing, connecting and transformative power of sound… and the blissful silence that complements it!⁣

This heart-opening weekend will feature kirtan (call and response singing), a sound journey with guided meditation and singing bowls, mantra chanting, and a selection of deep listening practices. There will also be solo time for journalling, walking the beautiful trails, practicing yoga asana, or breathing in the silence! ⁣

Nurture your heart, your voice and your nervous system while you cultivate deeper connections with yourself, others and the world around you. ❤️⁣

This three day (two night) retreat will be held at La Solitude de Pré-d’en-Haut, on the Petitcodiac River near Memramcook, New Brunswick. ⁣

We will stay in small individual cabins, enjoy simple breakfasts, freshly made soups or cook for ourselves (basic ingredients are included!), and gather in the beautiful Thabor for our group sessions.⁣

The weekend will offer a balance of sound and silence — sound when we are together and silence when we are alone. (I will offer optional journal prompts, and other reflection tools if you wish to use them during the silence!)⁣

If you would like a longer or more spacious retreat, you are welcome to book extra nights at the retreat centre. Please inquire and book directly with La Solitude.

Registration for the weekend (including simple food, accommodation, and the program):

To secure your place a $100 deposit is required.

a mini retreat

with Heidi Kalyani

“In a world of noise, confusion and conflict it is necessary that there be places of silence and peace.”

Feel inspired, connected and rejuvenated in the sanctuary of my cozy studio as we explore the power of spaciousness and silence for creating more ease, openness, clarity, and creativity for you and your students, clients, staff and group members.

Slowing down to invite even a brief moment of intentional spaciousness and silence can create empowering breathing space in a busy, chaotic world, and be a welcome balm for the stress of exhaustion and overwhelm. Including gentle, invitational pauses (at the beginning, middle or end of a gathering) can help the nervous system rest and digest before taking in more information, resulting in more engagement, reciprocity and creativity in your gatherings.

During this retreat you will gain embodied experience of just how nourishing spaciousness and silence can be, gather more confidence and clarity about how to weave these micro moments of quiet stillness into your offerings, and feel more connected to yourself, others and the world around you. Plus your nervous system will thank you! 🙂

The day will end with a restorative guided meditation and sound journey featuring yoga nidra and my beloved gongs and singing bowls. Limited space available. Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and snacks are provided!

Anyone who wants to build more empowered, connected, compassionate spaces (including heart-centred coaches, counsellors, teachers, facilitators, leaders, change-makers, and volunteers)

Saturday March 23rd, 10am – 5pm

We will gather in the sanctuary of my private studio, near Wolfville Nova Scotia.
