experience a refuge for your nervous system with yoga nidra

an 8-week course

“Rest can feel like a risk when the world is aching. But exhaustion and disembodiment will not save us. I don’t survive by your exhaustion, nor you by mine.”

COLE ARTHUR RILEY

iRest® Yoga nidra is a form of restorative guided meditation that activates the parasympathetic nervous system, inviting the body to enter a state of deep healing and rest — no matter what is happening in life. It’s a gentle practice that is both immediately accessible and becomes more profound over time.

My classes offer a refuge (a place to rest and restore), as well as a sacred space to connect, learn and explore with a small, like-hearted community.

Components of the practice include intention setting, honouring heartfelt desires, somatic sensing, gentle breath work, integrating emotions, thoughts and beliefs, as well as soaking up the wonder and joy of simply being.

Yoga nidra can be practiced either sitting up or laying down, and is ideally suited to being shared online as it invites you to turn off your camera, set yourself up in a perfect “rest nest” within the comfort and convenience of your own home, and rest into the guided meditation. (PJs are most welcome!)

Come practice with us, and enjoy benefits such as:

  • a deep sense of inner peace and wellbeing
  • a more regulated nervous system
  • less overwhelm and anxiety
  • better sleep

What is yoga nidra?
iRest yoga nidra is a gentle yet powerful form of meditative self-enquiry that helps uncover who we really are beneath the layers of our outer experiences. In this course it will be offered primarily in a guided meditation style.

I hope you can join me for this gentle and restorative exploration of nervous system regulation and deep rest!
